As well as Presidents and Management Boards of global corporations: Action, Amadeus, BBDO, Fortum, Nestle, and Orange, to name just a few. A total of nearly 120 Participants: Partners, Presidents and representatives of the Management Boards applied so far for the Business-People Research™ (BPR™) of TARKA EXECUTIVE.
Within the 3rd Edition of BPR™ 2021/22, particularly significant results emerged in the following areas:
1/ WHERE ARE OUR SUCCESSORS? Succession is most often carried out suddenly on the occasion of the departure of the current “Alpha”. Successors are prepared for their new role in advance to a limited extent.
2/ ARE WE WASTING SALARIES? Wages are not derivative and are not integrated with what we, as leaders, need most today – the competence and commitment of employees.
3/ KEY ROLE OF WOMEN? Male “Alphas” almost always succeed thanks to the support of women. However, the focus on details and far-reaching firmness in actions makes it difficult for the female “Alphas” to manage effectively in a crisis.
4/ IMAGE ABOVE ALL? And while our Polish, individualistic management patter still reigns in business, the owners and managers from the Millennial generation “wrap it” with activities focused on building and protecting their image. Sometimes – at the expense of efficiency.
5/ WHO IS “BETA”? Polish “Alfa” prefer our native, individualistic model of management. Therefore, to be effective, they need “Betas”. “Beta” is our trusted right hand. However, it is often extremely burdened and carrying out an excessively wide range of accountabilities.
Most Interviews with our esteemed Interlocutors, as part of the 3rd Edition of BBL™ 2021/ 22, have been conducted by Krzysztof Tarka, Managing Partner of TARKA EXECUTIVE. He acts as a trusted advisor to wealthy Owner Families, Partners, and Management Boards in the realm of __business transformation. He managed advisory work for, among others: Aventis, British American Tobacco, Cadbury, Citibank, Donnelley, Electricite de France, EY, HSBC, Nestle, Pernod Ricard, Philip Morris and Play/P4.
BPR™ is dedicated to the analysis and synthesis of Polish management patterns. We conduct the Research every 5 years. Its first edition took place at the turn of 2011/ 12, the second – 2016/ 17, the third in 2021/ 22. The core of the Research, the structure of the confidential Interview with our Interviewees and the methods of data analysis and synthesis remain unchanged.
This gives unique, longitudinal results allowing for the observation of hidden, non-obvious management phenomena over time. Thank you for your trust and your valued participation in our BPR™! We will be happy to see you joining the 4th Edition – at the turn of 2026/ 27.
