On August 25, 2023, Krzysztof Tarka, Founder and Managing Partner of TARKA EXECUTIVE, celebrates the 30th anniversary of his professional career. His first consulting assignment was facilitating decision-making groups during the “Sustainable Cities” Programme Conference. It took place in Katowice, Poland on August 25-31, 1993. The “Sustainable Cities” Programme for the Upper Silesian Agglomeration was one of the first in a series called the “Global Sustainable Cities Programme”. The initiative had two sponsors – UNCHS (Habitat) and the Danish government.
The aim of the Programme was to improve the efficiency of local governments in planning and managing city development, considering the needs and in cooperation with their partners from the business and public sectors. The Programme resulted in environmental strategies, investment priorities and effective management methods. The key was to mobilize all decision-makers in projects focused on sustainable urban development.
Krzysztof Tarka has been supporting decision-makers from the non-governmental, local government, and private business sectors for 30 years. It is about team making wise decisions for the sustainable and qualitative growth of their ventures – social, organisational, political, and market-oriented.
